It doesn\u2019t speculate on the bottle about your hair. It acts like a exfoliate on my skin (I can see dead skin come off when I rub it) so I personally wouldn\u2019t use it on my scalp for that reason.

None of the tubs have a silver foil lid but before opening the tub there is a small paper tab which is part of the label that overlaps the plastic lid. If this is broken then do not use otherwise it is fine
